1

Preparation

The first step is to prepare the site for the installation. This may involve removing any existing siding, trimming trees or bushes that could obstruct the installation, and clearing the area around the house.

2

Material delivery

The next phase is to have the siding materials delivered to the site. This includes the siding panels, trim pieces, fasteners, and any other necessary materials for the installation.

3

Inspection

Before installation begins, our Project Manager will inspect the exterior of the house to check for any damage or issues that need to be addressed before the siding can be installed. This may include repairing or replacing any damaged sheathing (a small additional coast may apply).

4

 Installation of moisture barrier

Our installation team, as per BC Building Code will then install a moisture barrier, such as building paper, waterproofing membrane and the rainscreen straping, if needed, to protect the house from water infiltration.

5

Installation of siding panels

The siding panels are then installed starting from the bottom and working their way up. The panels are secured to the house using nails or screws, following the manufacturer's guidelines for spacing and fastening. Additionally, a couple of days needed for trim pieces added around windows, doors, corners, and other areas to provide a finished look and to cover any exposed edges.

6

Caulking, sealing and clean-up

Once the siding and trim pieces are installed, the installer will caulk and seal any gaps or seams to prevent water infiltration and ensure a weather-tight installation. The final phase of siding installation involves cleaning up the site and removing any debris or waste materials. Our Project Manager will also inspect the finished installation to ensure that everything is done correctly and meets your expectations.
